Privacy Policy
This policy explains what happens to data when you use QR and Pick. The site has no accounts and no sign-up.

Summary
- You cannot create an account, and the site does not ask for your name or email address.
- What you type into a tool is processed by your browser and is not sent to us. This includes texts, web addresses, Wi-Fi passwords, contact details, lists of names and rules, Secret Santa draws, raffle entries and seeds, generated passwords and passphrases, and the images, logos and camera pictures that the QR code tools use.
- Your appearance preference and, only if you ask for it, a list of names or options are stored in your browser.
- The hosting provider processes technical request data to deliver the pages.
- Third-party advertising is loaded only when it is enabled for the site and permitted for you.
Data stored in your browser
The site uses the local storage of your browser for two purposes.

The boxes are not ticked when you first open a tool. Unticking a box or selecting “Clear list and saved copy” deletes the saved list at once.
Nothing else is stored: no QR code content, no image or logo, no Wi-Fi password, no contact details, no generated password or passphrase and no result of a draw or schedule. The site sets no cookies of its own.
This data stays on your device and is not sent to us. You can also delete it at any time by clearing the site data in your browser settings.
Data processed by the tools
The tools are programs that run in your browser. They create QR codes, random results and downloaded files on your device. The page does not transmit what you type, and we have no server that could receive it.
A QR code contains what you put into it as readable data. Everybody who scans a code can read its content, for example the password of a Wi-Fi code or the details of a contact code. Think about who will see a code before you share it.
“Copy result” places the result on the clipboard of your device. The clipboard belongs to your device, not to this site.
The QR code reader and the logo option open image files that you choose, drop or paste, and the reader can use your camera if you allow it. Images and camera pictures are drawn and decoded in your browser; they are not uploaded or stored. The camera is switched off after a code is read, when you stop it and when you leave the page.
The QR code tools load a decoder program from this site the first time they need it, and the passphrase generator loads its word list from this site. These requests contain nothing that you entered.
A raffle record is made as a file on your device when you download it; the site never receives it.
A Secret Santa link contains one name and the name that person draws, in the part of the address after the # sign. Browsers do not send that part to the server when the link is opened, so it does not reach us. It is visible to anybody who has the link and stays in the browser history.
A share link of the wheel or the name picker works the same way: the list, the number to pick and the no-repeats setting are in the part after the # sign, which does not reach us. Anybody who has the link can read the list.
Hosting and request data
The site is delivered by Cloudflare, our hosting provider. When your browser requests a page, Cloudflare processes technical data that is needed to deliver the page and to protect the service, such as your IP address, the requested address, the time of the request and information about your browser.
We do not keep our own database of visitors.
Advertising
The site may show advertisements that are provided by third parties such as Google. If advertising is not enabled for the site, the pages contain no advertising code and make no requests to advertising providers.
Advertising code is loaded only when advertising is enabled and, where a consent choice applies to you, after you have allowed it. If you refuse or withdraw your choice, the site stops loading advertisements.
When advertisements are shown, the advertising provider receives technical data such as your IP address and may use cookies or similar storage according to its own policy. We ask the provider not to personalize advertisements.
Your choices
- Untick “Remember this list on this device” or select “Clear list and saved copy” to delete a saved list.
- Clear the site data in your browser to remove the stored preference and every saved list.
- Use the consent dialog, where one is shown, to allow or refuse advertising.
